Event description

Description

Nexus, the University of Leeds’ new innovation hub, has joined forces with Bettakultcha to bring a series of discussions around technology, the environment, collaboration and innovation to Leeds.

Hosted by Dr Martin Stow, Nexus Director, the first event will be considering AI Technology and the impact it has on society -

Is it a positive one or does it also come with its drawbacks? What is its true potential and how can it benefit us? How likely is it to replace manual tasks? Can it be devastatingly harmful in the wrong hands? Could it save lives? Can it be controlled? Does it have the ability to overtake human thoughts and commands? Do the positives outweigh the negatives?

Is AI technology equally good and bad?

Come along and join us for a lunch break of discussion and deliberation on this much-talked-about topic. Lunch will be provided and presentations will be followed by networking.
