NFM Academy: Make Up and Costume Workshop. 31st January
Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM
a new initiative supported by Creative Skillset, aims to increase the North East’s TV and film crew base training those new to the industry and offering the opportunity to those already working in the industry to step up into new roles.
Hosted by Ryan Hooper and Michael Birtley the workshop will looks at the career path of both a costume designer and make up designer, their individual roles and how they work together on a production.
Ryan Hooper is a Costume professional with over 15 years of costume experience. Most recently the Costume Designer on The Dumping Ground for CBBC and Costume Supervisor on Wolfblood, Vera and Tracy Beaker Returns.
Michael Birtley is a professional makeup artist again with over 15 years’ experience in the industry, he has worked as makeup and hair designer for Wolfblood, The Dumping Ground, Tracy Beaker Returns, School for Seduction and Billy Elliot.
When: Tuesday 31st January, 9.30 am – 4.00pm.
Where: Cobalt Studios, 10 Boyd Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 1AP.
Please note that this class is for North East early career industry professionals. To take part in this class you must be based in the North East of England (County Durham, Northumberland, Teesside or Tyne and Wear).
