Undercover In The Costume Department
When: Monday 24th April 2017 10 - 4pm (Registration from 9.30)
Where: Tyne Theatre and Opera House
Hosted by Cathie Healy we will spend the day at Tyne Theatre talking about all aspects of the department along with a little practical work with the theatre wardrobe.
Cathie started working in Rep theatre at the Newcastle Playhouse in the early 80's. She has worked in all areas of the costume department from Dresser to Costume Designer. She crossed over to TV work in 1989 working in children's dramas 'Byker Grove' 'The Revenge files of Alistair Fury' snd 'My Parents are Aliens' and on Dramas
'A Touch of Frost' and 'Poirot' on the soaps 'Emmerdale' and 'Brookside' and many of the Catherine Cooksons to name a few. She currently runs a costume hire business for theatre TV and film. She has extensive experience in all aspects of the industry including Dance Variety and Pantomime.
Please note that this class is for North East early career industry professionals. To take part in this class you must be based in the North East of England (County Durham, Northumberland, Teesside or Tyne and Wear).
