NFTS Graduate Science and Natural History Showcase 2022

You are invited to the National Film and Television School's 2022 Graduate Showcase for Science and Natural History where you'll be the first to see the exciting work produced by the graduating students.

The event will be taking place at BFI Southbank on Wednesday 2nd March 2022, followed by a reception where you can meet the programme makers.

• Science and Natural History screening 1pm - 4.30 pm (Including an intervals)

• Industry Drinks Reception 4.30pm- 6pm

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The easiest way to get to BFI Southbank is by Tube - the nearest station is Waterloo. There is no car parking available at the cinema.

What time should I arrive?

We advise you arrive 30 minutes before the advertised start time in order to allow you sufficient time to register and take your seat.

What if I am running late?

If you arrive after the advertised start time we will do our best to make a seat available. However please be aware that there will be a standby queue on the day for those who were not able to secure a ticket and these guests will be offered the chance to take any free spaces if they are not taken 5 minutes before the start time.

If you arrive late and there are still seats available, you may be asked to wait until a suitable gap in the programme to enter the screen so you do not disturb the film playing and so that the lights are up and you can find a seat safely.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes - please bring your ticket with you - either as a print out or have it ready on your phone for us to check as you enter. This will really help speed up your registration time.

Does everyone have to register individually?

You are welcome to register on behalf of someone else (eg a colleague). The booking form allows you to register for up to two guests. Please make sure you fill out all the requested details.

Where should I sit?

There is no pre-allocated seating at the graduation show screenings, so please feel free to take a seat anywhere in the screen. In order to ensure we are able to get all waiting guests into the screen, an usher may ask you to move next to other guests so there are no gaps.

What should I do if I register, but can no longer attend?

If you find you are no longer able to attend for whatever reason, or you would like to nominate someone to attend in your place, you can cancel your ticket via Eventbrite, or please contact graduation@nfts.co.uk to let us know. 

Are there cloakroom facilities?

No unfortunately, there is no cloakroom or space for luggage, coats, prams, buggies or other personal effects to be stored. Coats and bags can of course be taken into the screens with you.

Accessibility

All areas of the building are accessible to wheelchair users. There is a lift on the ground floor that takes you to the first floor. From the first floor there is another lift to take you to the second, third and fourth floors for access to the screens.

All screens are accessible by wheelchair and have wheelchair spaces. If you would like to reserve a wheelchair space or have any other requirements (for example if you need an aisle seat) please email us at graduation@nfts.co.uk so we can make sure these are reserved for you.
