A new NGHN Working Group bringing together young professionals from across the healthcare construction sector, focused on rethinking how regulations and compliance can better shape our healthcare spaces, buildings and infrastructure.

Session 4: Compliance Conflicts and Mandated Templates

This session will explore areas of misalignment between Building Regulations, HBN guidance, and mandated NHP 2.0 designs. Using the NHP 2.0 ward template as a test case, we will discuss how compliance issues can be identified, managed, and mitigated in practice. The session provides an interactive forum to share industry experience on engaging with Clients to resolve template-driven non-compliances and agree proportionate, defensible solutions. The discussion will be set within the context of the current regulatory landscape, acknowledging the impact of BSR Gateways and HRB requirements where relevant.
