NHS Grampian Health & Wellbeing Event for people affected by cancer

We would like to invite you to attend a Health and Wellbeing Event on either of the following dates:
Tuesday 20th June 2017 or Tuesday 26th September 2017
From 10am – 2..45pm at The Fine Peace Cafe, situated within Sheddocksley Baptist Church on Eday Road, Aberdeen, AB15 6LN
If you have recieved a recent diagnosis or if you are living with cancer, NHS Grampian is here to help.Whether you have just begun or finished treatment, you are being monitored, or you are living with metastatic disease, our Health and Wellbeing event could be for you.
You are welcome to bring a partner, relative, or a close friend with you also.
10.15am Welcome - Jinette Mathieson, Macmillan, Cancer Nurse Consultant, ARI
10.30am Emotional wellbeing - Dr Kirsten Jardine, Friends of ANCHOR, Clinical Psychologist
11.00am Healthy eating - Ms Claire McGee, Specialist Dietician, ARI
11.30am Managing tiredness - Emma Kumar / Wendy Bloom, Specialist Physiotherapists, ARI
12.00 noon Buffet Lunch - Where you can visit information stands and chat with the other participants
12.45pm The benefits of physical activity - Katie Boddie, Macmillan Development Officer, Move More
1.15pm How to get the most out of your doctor's appointment - Dr Kirsten Cassidy, Lead Cancer GP, Aberdeenshire & Central
2.00pm Work & finance - Donna Lawie, Macmillan Cancer Centre Project, Grampian
2.30pm Questions / Closing remarks / Evaluation forms
