Introduction to Bayesian Networks with R

The NHS-R Community will be running the 1 day workshop on

• Thursday 2nd December 2021

The course will be one full day 9.30 am to 4.30 pm

The course will be run by:

Bruno Petrungaro and Santosh Kumar, Health Economics Unit

Pre-requisites: Basic knowledge of R. An understanding of probability theory and statistics.

Summary: The course will cover what are Bayesian Networks, the difference between causation and correlation, and how to learn the structure of Bayesian Networks. An example using a health-related data set will accompany the theoretical aspects of the course.

Limited to NHS employees and those who work in the UK public health care sector.
