Event description

Description

Following on from the launch event in July, this second event in October builds on the feedback received from delegates and incorporates some themes established in the ‘Wants & Offers’ session. We will hear from the national team on the application of ‘cancer pathway rules’ with time for Q&A, case studies from best practice sites and more detail on effective PTL management.

Following the September pathway mapping workshop, the measurement team will work delegates through next steps . It will include time to work through issues and challenges and finish with time for teams to to plan their actions going forward.

It is aimed at anyone working in trusts in the NHS South region who are responsible for delivering cancer services (including executive leads) and who wish to spend a day learning from others and reflecting on local practice and opportunities for improvement.

This event will include sessions on:

  • The National Perspective on Cancer Pathways
  • The Story So Far…… A Case Study
  • Measurement for Improvement – a practical example of how process mapping and data can help us understand activity, backlog, capacity and demand
  • Effective Management of PTLs
  • Improvement Exchange – focus on improving four key cancer pathways
  • Action Planning

Places at the event are limited and available on a first come first served basis. Attendance is encouraged from senior clinical, operational, management and information/analytical colleagues. Please contact networksinfo@nhselect.org.uk for further information.
