Event description

Description

Why not come along to our Human Library!

The Human Library is an equalities movement that challenges prejudice and discrimination through social contact. Just like in a real library, a visitor to the Human Library can choose from a range of titles. The difference is that Books are people, and reading is a conversation. This event is being organised by Equality and Human Rights Team, NHSGGC.

Human Books from a range of backgrounds will share their own life experience of prejudice, stigma or discrimination. As a ‘Reader’, you will have a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse range of people on a one-to-one basis and possibly challenge some of the assumptions and stereotypes we all hold.

The Human Library Event is being held on Thursday 28th September 2017 at 12noon in Class Room 1, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Corsebar Road, Paisley PA2 9PN.
