Learning outside provides some incredible opportunities for rich and meaningful learning experiences that support the NI curriculum in ways that can be very rewarding for both teachers and young people.
This event, run by the Education Authority Professional Learning team, Apple and Academia will look at effective practice in outdoor learning pedagogy and technology and showcase the power of mobile technology to enhance outdoor learning experiences for all.
This day is aimed at primary practitioners and will be a hands-on opportunity to experience ways in which quality outdoor learning experiences can be enhanced with Apple technology.
The day will be hosted at Stranmillis University College and will be a combination of indoor and outdoor activities and presentations.
Teachers will leave with practical ideas and resources to bring outdoor learning experiences to life with iPad in their own class.
Please come casually dressed with sturdy shoes. Weather resistant clothing is recommended in case it rains.
If you have access to an iPad, then please bring one with you. Don't worry if you don't as some iPads will be available for you to use on the day. Catering will also be provided.
Due to the limitations of space this event will be initially limited to 50 teachers and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
