About this event
Nick Hanson
THIS TALK WILL BE RECORDED
Nick uses his portfolio of stunning photos to explain how to make the best use of focal lengths - from ultra-wide angle through to long telephoto. He also demonstrates how the right choice of crop can have a major impact on the success of an image. There will be the opportunity for a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
Nick has been a pro photographer for 8 years, most of which has been spent as a guide for Skye Photo Academy - a photo workshop company based on the Hebridean island of Skye.
Nick also leads trips to the Italian Dolomites as well as the American Southwest - two of his favourite locations for landscape photography.
Nick was awarded a major landscape photography title in 2016 and has since been recognised as one of the country’s most technical and dedicated nature photographers.
He has since completed commissions for the likes of the Bank of Scotland and is a Kase Filters ambassador.
Nick regularly appears on Photography Online - a monthly YouTube show which typically attracts over 100,000 viewers per month.
Nick’s camera of choice is the Canon R5, but he also enjoys the challenge of film photography too.
