Nick Webster - Sports Photography Using Mirrorless Cameras
Sat 26 November 2016, 15:00 – 16:30 GMT
Nick Webster will be giving an insight in to his experiences of using mirrorless and how the system works for him, from the beginnings using a Sony Nex 7 to today using A7ii and A6300 and no longer any DSLR gear. Nick uses mirrorless for his professional work. This gives him the ability to give first hand experience of using these cameras day in day out and how they compare to DSLRs.
Photography has always been a passion for me. This is true whether it is a professional commission to create the Art Director's original vision and concept, or a personal level, striving to make the impossible possible. I often combine both natural and artificial light to create a style recognizable as mine, whether shooting in a studio or on a mountainside.
I was formerly a club photographer for Tottenham Hotspur and worked with leading motorsport teams, extensive cycling and snow sports. My work, both commissioned and un-commissioned, has been published in national and international publications. I have worked with global corporations and businesses for advertising campaigns, editorial and promotional use.
Exclusively a Sony user since 2009, I have been able to utilize the company's cutting edge technologies to create pictures with impact and dynamic energy. Currently I am using both D-SLT and A7-series cameras coupled with Zeiss and G optics, I can take assignments with the confidence that I have everything required in my artillery to get the shot I need.
