Event description

Description

Join WEA for a free Excite with Science event. With astronomers from Liverpool John Moores University's Astrophysics Research Institute, and a pop up planetarium from Daresbury Science Centre, you can enjoy a Night on the RAS! This will be a family friendly event with fun activities for all.

If the sky is clear, once the sun is down astronomers will help you explore the night sky. Otherwise a range of i-pads/tablets and the pop-up planetarium will help you get a better understanding of the night sky whatever the weather. There will be light refreshments available.

Funded by the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS), this will introduce you to astronomy, find out more about the night sky, and maybe even think about signing up to some science courses!
