Launching the Discover Middlesbrough season this free family event will take place in various venues around the town centre with an enchanting programme of activities. For one night only Centre Square will play host to installations and performances with a celestial theme. Listen to the stories of the constellations, experience art under canvas in the stargazing tents, book on a night time tour around some of Middlesbrough’s landmark buildings and make your own universe in a jar!

The following activities have a limited capacity, please book a ticket in advance to attend:
Starry Bright Night - 4.30pm, 5.15pm, 6pm & 6.45pm
Snuggle up and listen to wonderful tales inspired by the stars in a cosy and enchanting den which will be specially created in Middlesbrough Reference Library for young children.
Suitable for children aged 2 – 5 years and all children must be accompanied by an adult, sessions run for approx 30mins
Mini Neon Workshops with Stuart Langley – 5.30pm & 7pm
Join Stuart to make your own artwork using el wire and become a light artist for the night! Suitable for children aged 7+
Night time tours of some of Middlesbrough landmark buildings. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Tees Transporter Bridge - A View From the Top - 5pm-10pm tours starting every half hour (last tour starts 9.30pm). Tours start from Holiday Inn Express in Centre Square a shuttle bus is provided.
The Middlesbrough Empire - 6.15pm & 7.15pm (not suitable for wheelchair users)
Teesside Archives - 6pm & 7.30pm - A treat for local history fans (not suitable for wheelchair users)
