Event Information
Description
Join us as we seek the elusive songster of the woods – the nightingale.
Highnam Woods is special place in spring as nightingales return from African wintering grounds to breed and raise their young. The males sing to attract a mate, so can only be heard for a few weeks, but they can sing through the night, so listening for them as the sun sets adds to the experience.
Meet at: RSPB Highnam Woods car park. GL2 8AA. (Car park gates will be open 15 minutes before the event starts.)
Booking essential via Eventbrite. RSPB members £4; non-members £5; Children £2. (Please pay on the day at the start of the event.)
Paths can be muddy, please bring suitable footwear.
Note: finish time is approximate - it depends on sundown.
