The Nightline Association Spring Conference is the biggest annual event of the Nightline year, bringing together Nightline volunteers from all across the UK and Ireland. The event is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow Nightliners, learn from specialists and from each other and have a chance to steer the direction of the Association for the upcoming year. This year's conference will be held in Durham at the beginning of April and promises to be a fantastic event with the aim to educate, engage and empower its participants.
The conference will start on Friday and wrap up on Sunday with accommodation provided by Durham University. The weekend will comprise of an array or engaging workshops, fun evening activities and plenty of excellent opportunities to meet and learn from like-minded volunteers from all across the UK and Ireland, as well as the annual Awards Ceremony to celebrate outstanding Nightlines, scheduled for Saturday evening.
Each affiliated Nightline is allocated 2 full tickets for free, but additional delegates are welcome at a price of £80 per person. The Awards Ceremony is included in the full ticket, and there is the option as well to attend the Awards Ceremony only (£35) or to attend the Awards Ceremony and stay overnight (£65, including breakfast).
What are my transport options for getting to and from the event?
Please contact your regional coordinator to ascertain if there is a car-share happening within your region. This is the preferred method of transport to the venue. If you are driving to the event, please note that we may kindly ask you to support us in providing lifts for other delegates to and from the venue.
If not, most participants opt for rail travel. Durham train station is approximately 30 minutes walking distance from the venue. It is a gorgeous route, and very scenic, however consists of a few significant hills.
What can I bring into the event?
We have the majority of stuff for you already, your rooms come equipped with towels and kettles, including sachets of coffee and tea. However, you might be best bringing your own toiletries.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, we understand that committee handovers may happen between now and the event and as such it may not be clear who ends up attending. Once you establish how many delegates you're able to financially support, feel free purchase your desired amount of tickets and fill in the details, even if the latter may change. However, we ask that you keep us up to date with training, dietary and accesibility requirements of attendees, should these change.
