About this event

Hobbies • Other

Join us in the dark as we search for biofluorescence on the reserve!

On this guided walk, our staff will help you spot the wonders of the night. Biofluorescence occurs when UV light is absorbed by plants, animals, fungi, or other living things and light is reemitted back to us in gorgeous technicolour! Have a go at using our professional UV torches which will illuminate the creatures around us.

This event is open to all, however please note the reserve is very dark at this time so this walk may not be appropriate for younger children. Children under 18 need their own ticket and must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket. Babies in arms/pushchairs are welcome to accompany for free, although please note the late time of this event.
