NIHR i4i - Connect 5 & CYPMH - Competition Launch Webinar
Event Information
About this event
The NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) Programme is a translational funding scheme that advances healthcare technologies for increased patient benefit in areas of existing or emerging patient need.
The NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) Programme will launch the 5th round of its Connect Awards on the 17th of August 2021. There will be two funding streams in this round: 1) Connect awards, and 2) Children and Young People’s Mental Health (CYPMH) awards.
i4i Connect stream is aimed at small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in need of a funding boost to reach the next stage in the development pathway. Offering up to £150,000 over a 6-12 month period, its primary aim is to help SMEs get to a point where they can apply for further funding or to support projects at any stage of the translational research and development pathway to further de-risk them for follow-on investment. This round’s additional stream, CYPMH, will also be open for applications from NHS providers or higher education institutions (HEIs). The CYPMH stream encourages proposals addressing a range of mental health conditions in regions that have been historically under-served by research activity or where there is a high unmet mental health burden.
The NIHR i4i team will be hosting a webinar to provide further details on the Connect 5 and CYPMH Awards.
During the session, you will be able to find out about our eligibility and assessment criteria and to participate in a live Q&A session. At the end of the main session, at 11:30 am, the NIHR i4i team will have 1:1 break out rooms for attendees. Members of the NIHR team will be able to answer any specific question the attendees might have about this funding call. The 1:1 will run as 5 minutes sessions. As they cannot be pre-booked, we ask that you stay on the line after the main event if you would like to participate.
Please join our webinar session on the 13th of July 2021.
