Are you a medical or digital health technology company looking for funding, guidance or collaborators?

Hosting the NIHR Roadshow for small to medium enterprises (SMEs); the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), the Health Tech Hub and West of England Clinical Research Network invite you to register for this event specifically tailored to medical technology companies.

Outline programme:

Session 1: NIHR’s role in supporting research and innovation for MedTech SMEs (10.00-10.30)

Incl: Clare Woods (NIHR Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure, Business Development Manager), Martin Hunt (NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i), Programme Director) and Ifan Jones (NIHR Clinical Research Network, Industry Operations Manager).

Session 2: Local support for MedTech SMEs (10.30-10.55)

Incl: Lars Sundstrom (West of England Academic Health Science Network, Director of Enterprise) and speakers from Health Tech Hub.

REFRESHMENT BREAK

Session 3: From the SME perspective: Success stories of NIHR funding and support (11.30-12.00)

Incl: Paul Meakin (Vitamica, Chief Executive Officer), Neciah Dorh (FlouretiQ, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer) and Carey McClellan (getUbetter, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer).

LUNCH (will be provided)

Session 4: Open Access – Table Discussions (13:00-15:30)

Q&A sessions with Clare Woods, Ian Newington (NIHR - i4i), plus others to be confirmed to cover supporting SMEs in the device regulation process and digital health.

This free one-day meeting will be held on 4 March 2019, from 9.30am-3.30pm, in Bristol.


The event will be held at the Exhibition and Conference Centre (ECC) which is based at UWE’s Frenchay campus.

Arriving by car:

Visitors driving to Frenchay Campus and UWE Bristol Exhibition and Conference Centre should use the North Entrance to access car parks (BS34 8QZ for your sat nav).

We have pre-booked 80 spaces in the Visitor Car Park but these passes must be collected and validated on arrival. You will need to report to the Bristol Business School Reception on arrival to collect your visitor's pass and validate your parking. Please see car parking guidance for more information.

Arriving by public transport:

Bristol Parkway station is very convenient for the University's Frenchay Campus and there are regular buses directly to campus.
