NKILI Architecture in collaboration with RIBA West London Architects presents architect Jo Cowen. Please join us for an evening of networking,canapes,wine and a presentation from Jo Cowen followed by a Q&A session. Wine and canapes are included in the ticket price. You will meet likeminded professionals in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Professionals from within the industry will attend this event including Architects, property developers, investors, engineers and property professionals, plus other companies that have an interest in the sector. Award-winning architect Jo Cowen is known for her hands-on, client-focused approach to every project. One of London’s leading female architects, Jo runs a multi-dimensional residential, commercial, and mixed use architecture practice in central London. An exuberant but pragmatic architect, she channels her considerable skill and experience into finding the best possible realisation of her clients’ vision.



EALING BUILD TO RENT

Jo Cowen Architects are currently in planning for this large-scale Build-to-rent residential scheme in Ealing. The scheme comprises of 506 units of premium build-to-rent accommodation, 10 000 square foot of flexible office space, artisan retail, new public gyms and cycle pavilions. This is a scheme that embodies placemaking and public realm at its heart for one of the most prominent BTR owner-operators in the UK.

Jo Cowen Architects won this scheme through its proposition to develop a holistic strategy and approach for BTR in the capital that embodies community creation, social cohesion and a ‘culture of building’. ‘We strive to create homes that people want to move into, stay living in, driving high occupancy levels and stabilisation’. This project has brought to the fore Jo Cowen’s ability to manage key stakeholders and GLA/LA partnering and whilst developing a schematic that achieves optimises efficiency and viability.

The View, Battersea Park

Jo Cowen Architects has momentously won planning for a new 15 story residential tower with commercial space at lower levels, café and public realm improvements on Battersea Park Road. This area was designated for five story development, but the exemplary design and regeneration opportunity presented to the GLA and Wandsworth Council merited the development of a tall building on this constrained site.

SOUTHERN BELLE

An infill site spanning two adjacent street frontages from front to back, the proposal offers nine high quality residential homes, cleverly arranged to avoid overlooking and loss of daylight to adjacent properties, whilst providing quiet, private terraces orientated about the centre of the site away from the active street frontage.

The dark brick elevations, with narrow beaded windows, provide an elegant and well-proportioned building that abridges an adjacent Victorian terrace, with a much larger corner building to the opposite side.
