Join Judith for our 2nd special British Museum trip – for the ‘NLP in the Wild’ Practice Group!
The British Museum is one of the world’s most educational and inspirational museums. It's the essential cultural, historical collection of choice for many top artists, designers, philosophers, historians and teachers.
Freud and many other key psychologists and healers have been intrigued and touched by sacred objects from the past which deeply resonated for them as symbols of the unconscious. Gregory Bateson, one of NLP’s original models and mentors, was also fascinated by art and artistry in different cultures. As an anthropologist, he helped develop conceptual frameworks for describing the structures, rules and dynamics of diverse human societies.
In this rich, museum environment, packed with the treasures of world history, we can develop our mental flexibility, challenge our visual acuity and explore deep cultural biases and assumptions.
Together in the amazing beautiful galleries, using NLP approaches and tools, we will focus on;
- - Maps and Territory – diversity and multiple descriptions in culture
- - Looking Through NLP Eyes - meta programmes, submodalities , beliefs, perceptual positions
- - Symbolic Thought and the Unconscious – inspiration and healing
No previous knowledge of the British Museum is required. We welcome newcomers and previous participants to enjoy and practice NLP in this unique, experiential group event.
Places are limited to 15 due to logistics in the museum itself.
If you are interested in NLP, culture, art, history, dreams, design and human solutions to living and dying – then you’ll love this fun, friendly ‘away-day’ morning at the UK’s top museum.
" I have loved the British Museum since childhood and visit at least once a year. I'm constantly amazed and deeply moved by the richness and mystery of world history and culture that is displayed there. It's a place to expand your mind and deepen your sense of the human potential to create and recreate our worlds." Judith Lowe
