An album launch party with Lorian Ross
Lorian Ross is a songwriter and music producer born in Exeter and raised in the rolling Devon countryside outside Bickleigh Village. Having graduated with an MA in Music Production from the University of York, Lorian has found a measure of success with international communities online, composing original music for podcasts, Dungeons and Dragons livestreams and independent animation.
When not composing they work right here at Exeter Library as part of the Customer Service team. Now they are finally releasing their debut album - No, But I Will Be - a project 7 years in the making.
This 12-track alternative rock album covers themes of mental health, environmentalism, personal growth, but most of all hope in the face of difficult times. Inspired by a wide variety of genres, including alternative and progressive rock, orchestral soundtracks, metal and folk, this album is a grand and emotional journey from darkness towards light.
Come visit Exeter Library on October 29th for an early listen to the album - on professional quality hi-fi - before it's release on the 30th. This is a free event, and open to all.
The listening event runs from 7:15pm until 8:30pm in the Rougemont room, with doors open from 7:00pm, and will consist of a full listen through of the album, followed by a brief QnA. Snacks and soft drink will be provided, but feel free to bring alcoholic drinks from home.
