Launching NCLB's 'Year of Youth Action''

You are invited to join us for a very special evening on Thursday 30th January 2024 at The Cheltenham Town Hall from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, where No Child Left Behind (NCLB) will be hosting the first ever NCLB Community Showcase in association with Punchline-Gloucester.com.

The event, hosted by The Mayor of Cheltenham, aims to take you on a journey to understand the issues that young people are facing growing up in Cheltenham today, what work is being carried out to combat this, and how you can become more involved in supporting the local community.

The showcase will host expert guest speakers in education, youth work and child exploitation, as well as powerful talks from young people on the challenges they face. There will also be exciting performances in music and drama from local schools and choirs throughout the evening!

The event will launch the 'Year of Youth Action' for NCLB, focussing on themes such as Safety, Engagement, Digital, Mental Health and Recreation which were identified as priorities for young people, following the most recent young peoples survey.

NCLB partners such as YMCA Family Space, Springbank Community Group, Aspire Foundation, Move More, Cheltenham Animal Shelter, Cheltenham Town Community Trust, St Pauls Gardening Group, The Rock and more will be running fun activities alongside the young people and families who engage in their provision, to showcase the fantastic work they are doing to support some of our most vulnerable communities.

An 'afternoon tea' style buffet will be available with refreshments throughout the evening.

First half of showcase 4:00pm - 4:45pm
Refreshments and Networking 4:45pm-5:30pm
Second half of showcase 5:30-6:30
Venue closes 7pm
