No help. No stops. No turning back. My Vendée Globe story
Event Information
About this Event
“More men have walked on the moon than women have completed the Vendée Globe, which is all the inspiration I need to succeed."
In November 2020, Pip Hare set off from Les Sables-d'Olonne to take part in the Vendée Globe, a single-handed non-stop round the world yacht race known as the 'Everest of the Seas'. After sailing 24,000 miles and being alone at sea for over three months, Pip will share her story first-hand in this exclusive virtual talk.
From crossing the Southern Ocean for the first time and changing a rudder at Point Nemo (the most remote location on earth), to climbing the mast and being stung by a Portugese Man o' War, this event will be packed full of inspiration for not just aspiring skippers but for anyone who dares to dream.
