Love your favourite trousers but dreading the day they wear out? Learn how to make a pattern Oc them and sew a mock-up in this fun, hands-on workshop!
When: Saturday, October 25th, 2025
What time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with breaks for tea, coffee & snacks!)
Where: The Indie Sewing Room, Glasgow
How much: £145 per person (includes all materials)
What We'll Do
- Trace and draft a pattern from your favourite trousers – no unpicking required!
- Sew a mock-up to test the fit and make adjustments
- Learn practical pattern-making skills you can use again and again
- Get plenty of one-to-one support in a relaxed, small-group setting
- Enjoy tea, coffee, and a good blether while you sew
💡 Basic sewing knowledge is required – you should be comfortable using a sewing machine and sewing simple seams.

Our Siobhan's background is in textile product development and pattern cutting, bringing industry know-how to help you get a professional-quality fit. She’s all about demystifying pattern drafting and giving you the skills to create garments that actually fit your body—not just what the shops think should fit you.

The Indie Sewing Room is based in Glasgow’s East End, easily accessible by public transport, with free on-street parking nearby. Full details will be sent upon booking.

Your Booking
To book your place on this course, please click through the eventbrite link to pay a non-refundable deposit of £50. This deposit will go towards the course fees and the remaining balance will be due no later that 10 days prior to course start date.
Once you’re booked on the course, you will receive the details to bank transfer the final amount.

Just your favourite pair of trousers and a basic sewing kit (fabric scissors, pins, chalk/pencil). We’ll provide the materials, including calico for your mock-up, pattern paper, and use of our industrial sewing machines.
