A short course on state of the art multiscale methods for porous materials

About this Event

The main objective of this No2Noise short-course is to form a platform for knowledge dissemination and idea exchange vis-à-vis the state-of-the-art in the field of multiscale analysis procedures for materials. It further aims at establishing a discussion forum for advanced multiscale computational techniques and at identifying associated research challenges. Topics relevant to the short course include, but are not limited to, implementations and algorithmic solutions for:

- Micro-mechanical constitutive behaviour

- Acoustics

- Predictive multiscale modelling

- Data-driven modelling

- Verification and validation of multiscale methods

This short course is organised within the framework of the No2Noise Innovative Training Network. No2Noise aims at developing a high-fidelity and efficient Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) scheme for multifunctional composite materials having poroelastic inclusions. These will form efficient and light-weight sound packages to be deployed in automotive and aeronautical structures. No2Noise brings together Universities, industries and research centres from across the world to train a new generation of researchers, scientists and engineers.
