As dusk settles over Sherwood Heath, a different world begins to stir. Join us for an evening walk as we explore the heathland after dark in search of some of its most secretive night-time residents.

Led by Graeme and Erin, we’ll be keeping our ears open for the distinctive calls of Nightjars and Owls, and using special detectors to pick up the clicks and calls of bats overhead.

🌿 What to bring/wear:

  • Suitable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing
  • Long trousers and sleeves (recommended due to biting insects)
  • A small torch (please keep beams low to avoid disturbing wildlife)

This is a relaxed, family-friendly walk, perfect for nature lovers and curious minds alike. Come and experience the heath as you've never seen — or heard — it before!

As a small charity, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to make events like this possible.

We’re committed to keeping our events open and accessible to everyone.

Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference and helps us continue our work.

Thank you for your support.
