Welcome to the Non-Linear Movement Method® Class
In-Person in Nicola's studio in Knutsford.
The Non-Linear Movement Method® (NLMM) is a powerful inquiry-based somatic movement practice developed by Michaela Boehm.
NLMM educates the body how to release and process contractions, stress and emotional tension while at the same time sensitising you to your internal landscape.
The method can be practised at any age, fitness level and mobility. The movements are designed to be self-regulating and can be done in any position, including lying down.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to explore this practice and discover the benefits of non-linear movement. Sign up now and start your journey towards a healthier, more vibrant you!
It’s worth trying NLMM if:
- You don’t like yoga … because it’s so different, you might enjoy NLMM :)
- Your yoga practice is feeling dull, and you are looking for something different.
- You feel burnt out or fatigued.
- You have problems setting boundaries and saying no.
- You feel you have lost your sense of self or intuition.
Similar to Yoga but different …
Yoga and the Non-Linear Movement Method (NLMM) are both movement practices that cultivate mind and body awareness:
- Each practice session is different because who you are in each moment is different.
- Most people walk away feeling a deeper connection to their body after the session.
- The more you practice (ideally daily or weekly), the easier it gets.
Although there are similarities, they are also very different from one another.
Yoga is very structured and linear. Typically ,you are moving your body from one posture to the next with a clear outcome and goal. You are still in “go mode” trying to achieve something with your body. The teacher is often instructing you on how you should breathe and how you should move.
As the name suggests, The Non-Linear Movement Method is about moving in an unstructured non-linear and non-habitual way.As the name suggests, the Non-Linear Movement Method is about moving in an unstructured, non-linear and non-habitual way.
Rather than imposing more demands on the body, we listen and work with the body and allow it to move how it wants to move. So much about life is about focusing and doing more and doing better, and this practice is totally different. It’s about becoming present to what is actually happening in your body and moving this (rather than striving for something different).
