This course will provide a refresher/introduction to West Lothian Councils Non-Residential Care policy, supporting current practice and implementation of the policy.
Delivered in partnership with Social Policy, Advice Shop & Financial Assessment Team
Whos’ the course for?
Staff in the WLHSCP who complete assessments of care needs for Adult Services e.g. Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Community Care Co-Ordinators, Community Care Assistants, Practice Managers etc.
The training provides a refresher for existing staff and on overview for new staff to West Lothian.
Learning Outcomes
· Refresher of the background and context of the Non-Residential Care Contribution Policy
· Overview of the social care assessment and process in regards to contributions
· Awareness of outstanding debt and recovery process
· The role of NRC Financial Assessment team in regards to cacluclating assessment and invoicing
· The role of the Advice Shop in regards to personal income checks and support to review contribution decisions
