NORDIC WALKING for BEGINNERS 1.5 hour TASTER SESSION - MAY 4th 2015
Monday, 4 May 2015 from 09:30 to 11:30 (BST)
NORDIC WALKING for BEGINNERS
1.5 hour TASTER SESSION
Join Susan, our experienced exercise professional for this Nordic Walking TASTER SESSION.
We meet at the Courtyard Café off Castle Street at 9.30am to start at 10.00am where you can enjoy a tea, coffee and snacks before the off.
Nordic Walking is an increasingly popular way of exercising using specially designed poles to help propel you forward, making you walk faster. Using upper body as well as lower body muscles in this way makes you work harder and burn more energy (up to 46% more calories than a normal walk) but, because of the poles it actually feels easier!
Nordic Walking is suitable for everyone regardless of age and fitness level.
The technique relieves stress from the neck, shoulders and knees and is great for the heart and lungs... it's great fun too.
Join Susan for this 1.5 hour taster session; the loan of poles and lots of good friendly advice is included.
Meet - 9.30am to start at 10.00.
