Nordic Walking - Newburn Riverside
Want to build more exercise into your working day?
Go Smarter to Work is offering all employees at Newburn Riverside the opportunity to take part in Nordic Walking!
Nordic Walking is a full-body exercise that's easy on the joints and suitable for all ages and fitness levels; it is recognised by the NHS as potentially lowering the risk of chronic illnesses, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, asthma, stroke and some cancers. Nordic walking can also be used as part of an exercise programme to help lose weight.
If you would like to join, please register and you will recieve an e-mail confirming your place.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Do I need to bring anything?
Our experienced instructors will provide you with Nordic Walking poles.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and shoes. A waterproof jacket may be useful in case it does rain.
What happens if it's raining?
No one likes getting soaked so we will try to offer some training unless the weather makes it unsafe to do so. Our instructors will always try to find a sheltered location or offer you an alternative activity in bad weather.
In the event of bad weather, the session may be cancelled at short notice - we'll contact you to let you know if this happens.
