Event description
Norfolk Festival of Nature launch with Patrick Barkham

About this Event

Patrick Barkham will be chairing our Festival launch event, this year in conversation with Joe Harkness about his recent book Bird Therapy. Joe’s intimate and searching memoir explores a journey from rock bottom to mental wellbeing with the help of the mindful practice of birdwatching. Patrick and Joe will discuss the book and reflect on the role that nature might play in our physical and mental health if we let it. There will be a short break for a glass of wine and then we will welcome our other speakers to open the subject up towards further discussion and debate. Please do come along with your own questions for the panel too. Caoimhe Twohig-Bennett is a research manager working at Epilepsy Research UK and has a PhD from UEA on the wide-ranging health benefits of green spaces. Anita Sethi is a prize-winning journalist and author of the forthcoming nature writing memoir I Belong Here. Lucy McRobert is a wildlife storyteller and author of 365 Days Wild, a guide to making nature part of your life every day.
