Norfolk Walking and Cycling Festival 2019

A mindfulness walk (1-2 miles), which will focus on the importance of physical activity and nature to improve well-being. The mindfulness activity will last around 10 minutes of the walk and will focus on the senses.

No experience of mindfulness needed. An opportunity to experience the benefits of the Norfolk scenery.

Additional information: Emily Player is a GP working in Norfolk with a background in research and medical education at UEA. Emily has an interest in physical activity, mindfulness and yoga and the benefits to health and well-being.




Start Location: 10am @ North Norfolk Information Centre, Louden Road, Cromer, NR27 9EF

Finish Location: 12pm @ North Norfolk Information Centre, Louden Road, Cromer, NR27 9EF

Family and child friendly: Yes

Dogs (on short lead) welcome: Yes

Distance of walk: 2 miles

Suitability: Beginner level – short introductory walks/rides (between 1-2 miles) for participants new to these activities or not as confident walking or cycling over longer distances.

Getting there: The start point in Cromer is accessible by train on the Norwich-Sheringham Line, as well as on the Coasthopper bus service. There’s plenty of car parking at the North Norfolk Information Centre, Cromer (charges apply).

Refreshments: Local services available for refreshments at the start or end of event.

Toilet facilities: Available at the start/end of walk.
