This two hour ‘Bite Size’ course, led by Dorset Community Action, is aimed at voluntary and community groups and will assist you in understanding which legal structures are the most useful for your organisation, writing governing documents (such as a constitution) and developing policies and procedures in order to manage risk and liability.
Who is the course for?
This course is designed for new and existing groups who want to explore governance and risk management.
The course will cover:-
- Understanding different legal structures and which models may be the most effective for your organisation
- Understanding how to write effective governing documents
- The development or updating of policies and procedures in order to manage risk and liability to your organisation
Date: 20th September 2017 (9.45am registration for 10am start through to 12 noon finish)
Venue: Blandford Fire Station (please contact us prior to booking it you have any mobility issues)
Cost: £30 pp for voluntary and community groups, £40 pp for statutory groups
