Overview

Join Northumberland Wildlife Trust and the Freemen of Newcastle for a tree planting event as part of the North East Community Forest.

Following on from the successes of the last couple of years we're back with another 12,000 hedgerow trees to plant around the Newcastle Town Moors. So grab you wellies, wrap up warm and come along to help plant trees as part of the North East Community Forest. We'll provide gloves, spades, and the trees, alongside tips, tricks and a little tree ID.

Meeting point: Alongside Hunter's Moor, at traffic lights where Fenham Hall Drive meets Ponteland Road. What3Words///storm.bars.walks

Please wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions on the day, and note that the areas we're planting are often muddy.

Book your ticket now to let us know you're coming, and ensure that we bring enough equipment for everyone.

No experience necessary as we'll be providing guidance and supervision on the day.

This event is suitable for families. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note that this event is aimed at residents local to the planting site, and where possible please walk, cycle or take public transport as nearby parking is limited.
