Event description

Description

A joint event hosted by Everyone’s Children at GCVS, the Voluntary Sector North East Glasgow (VSNEG) and Glasgow’s Third Sector Citywide Forum (Children, Young People and Families).

This event is for local councillors and staff working in health, social care and education to meet up with third sector organisations who provide services that help children, young people and families in the North East of Glasgow. This includes early learning, childcare, out of school care, family support, befriending, peer mentoring, clubs and activities, advocacy services and much more.

Third sector organisations will each have their own stall, allowing individuals to become more familiar with what third sector projects in this area offer. Third sector organisations from the North East will also be able to find out more about what other services provide, which may promote better partnership working.

Directory
We ask all third sector organisations who would like to take part in the day to complete the following survey: http://bit.ly/NESurvey17 this will allow us to create a directory of organisations for the event, as well as contributing to GCVS’ current project of mapping third sector services in the city. If you have any questions, please contact Everyone’s Children at GCVS on: everyoneschildren@gcvs.org.uk

North East Locality
The North East locality covers 7 wards: Dennistoun, Springburn, North East, East Centre, Bailleston, Calton and Shettleston.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The Calton Heritage and Learning Centre is across from the Templeton Building beside Glasgow Green. There is a shared car park and on street parking, and it is easily accessible from Bridgeton Station (6 mins walk).

The event is free, but to attend you must register via Eventbrite by 23rd November 2017. Teas and coffees will be provided and we encourage third sector organisations to bring along cakes/sweets/treats for their stall.
