Event description
Transnational Law in the Era of Globalisation: Ensuring Justice in a Globalised World

About this Event

The North East Law Forum, organised by Newcastle University Law School and Northumbria University Law School, is pleased to announce the seventh annual North East PGR Law Forum Conference following the success of previous conferences.

The event will critically explore transnational law and consider how globalisation is changing the contours of law and creating new global legal institutions and norms. National and international post-graduate research students will present research from various legal areas considering law in a globalised world. Key themes of global governance, law and technology, and human rights issues will be explored throughout the day.

There will be speakers from academic staff members of both Northumbria University Law School and Newcastle University Law School, including a workshop on the Research Excellence Framework (REF).

The event will be of interest to those currently conducting, or hoping to conduct, post-graduate legal research, those with an interest in transnational law and global governance, and those interested in pursuing a career in academia.
