North East Multiple Needs and Exclusion Forum
Clinks and Homeless Link coordinate a North East Multiple Needs and Exclusion Forum. The main purpose of the group is to bring together people from the four sectors (homelessness, criminal justice, mental health and substance misuse) in order to help develop work across the North East, to better serve people facing multiple needs and exclusions by:
- Sharing experience of developing multiple needs work
- Bringing together the voluntary sector and statutory sector to discuss issues and offer solutions
- Highlight good practice form the North East and share more widely
- Gather views to influence policy through the Making Every Adult Matter Coalition
The next forum will take place on Tuesday 4th October 2016 and will look at examples of preventative activities and how these contribute to improving the lives of those with complex needs. The event will provide examples of good practice from MEAM approach areas across the country as well as Changing Live's Hospital Prevention programme and Helix Art's Falling on Your Feet programme.
The forum is open to any practitioner working in the multiple and complex needs field. The forum is part of the work of the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) Coalition. More information about multiple needs work in the North East can be found on the VONNE website.
