Event description
North-East women's leadership network workshop with guest speakers and supporting Smart Works

About this Event

You are invited to join us for our North East region networking workshop

This is an exciting time for the Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) and we want to share how WLN is changing: engaging and supporting more women who are already or want to become leaders in further education, skills or lifelong learning.

WLN recently re-launched with a revitalised commitment to promoting intersectional gender equality and to ensuring the whole of our sector benefits from the diverse, transformational and talented leaders it needs to achieve a more prosperous, socially just and equitable society.

What's it about?

Women networking-learning from, sharing with, and supporting each other in more ways than one.

In addition to an exciting programme with no less than 3 great speakers, you can support Smart Works by bringing a clothing donation.

"Based in Newcastle city centre, in their first year Smart Works assisted more than 290 women from across the North-East, providing work outfits from our stock of high-quality clothes donated by the public, local businesses and retailers. With styling advice and interview training offered too, the support helps women feel more confident and increases their chances of securing jobs.

Smart Works accepts high-quality interview appropriate clothing and accessories for our service, and other high-quality clothing and accessories for our bi-annual and pop up sales."
