About the staff
Alyson Agar: Keynote speaker
Alyson is a creative practitioner and author who lectures in History of Art, Contextual Studies, & Visual Culture at CCAD (www.alysonagar.com). She is a graduate research fellow at Northumbria University and has written a number of publications such as “The Tricks – A Psychogeographic Survey”, “Solid Paradise” and “Ukranian Smile”. She has exhibited extensively in the North East and beyond, including Sakaide Art Grand Prix in Japan.
Amanda Smith: Adobe Illustrator
Amanda is a freelance community artist and illustrator (www.mandascat.com). She has worked at CCAD for over fourteen years, currently leading the BTEC Level 3 Art & Design and Access to HE courses. Previously Amanda worked for Hartlepool Borough Council as Community Artist Coordinator for over ten years before going onto to work as the Education Action Zone Coordinator whose responsibility covered raising standards in failing schools.
Bethany Watson: Adobe Photoshop
A CCAD Graduate in BA Textiles and Surface Design. Bethany is a practicing designer who has exhibited work internationally in Paris and New York. She is also a part-time member of lecturing staff at CCAD running a series of Textiles and Sewing short courses.
