Best Practice: 'Developing Sketchbook Work' by Caroline Forknall
Caroline will take you through her studios, where she will demonstrate the magic formula of compiling a double-page spread of a sketchbook. Guests are encouraged to bring examples of their own current pupils' work to enhance this session.
Caroline is a practising artist and designer of bespoke mixed media and textile pieces and gifts (www.misscarilou.com). She has taught Design Crafts for over 16 years, and currently leads Fashion, Textiles and Design Crafts. Caroline is also responsible for enhancing quality processes for level 3 courses at CCAD.
'Photography: How to teach it' by Timothy Leah-Adams
In this 2-hour session, Tim will explore exposure and studio lighting as part of the fundamentals of digital photography. Teachers will be given hints and tips for delivery in their classroom.
Tim is a certified Phase One Professional Photographer. He studied Photography, Video and Digital Imaging before successfully gaining an MA in Photography from the University of Sunderland. He has taught at both further and higher education level and applies his professional practice to the College’s learning environment.
