About this event

Seeking specialised support and advice to kickstart your community energy project in the North East?

Welcome to the North East & Yorkshire Community Energy Technical Assistance Workshops, an exciting programme designed to upskill community energy groups and similar stakeholders in key areas such as energy project development and management, low carbon technologies, and the grid connections process.

Workshop 3 covers The Connections Process. We will look at:

· Energy networks and constraints in the North East and Yorkshire.

· How do you prepare and secure a grid connection?

· How can you best prepare your group or organisation to obtain a grid connection?

· What is grid connection reform, and how can communities take advantage of this opportunity?

· How do you design energy projects to overcome energy network constraints?

The programme is funded by the North East & Yorkshire Net Zero Hub, produced and delivered by community energy consultancy, Scene. It is tailored to provide expert support and advice to interested communities and potential to the Great British Energy Community Fund.
