Event description

Description

The Voluntary Sector Forum is our regular networking event for voluntary and community groups, local charities and social enterprises. As well as speakers on topics of interest, there is an open forum slot for anyone to share short items of news or upcoming events. Delegates are welcome to bring leaflets to share.

This event will include a short Making Every Contact Count Plus (MECC+) session which enables delegates to share local knowledge and find out about about the diverse range of local services and support to help people stay well and live independently. This session may be of use for anyone who works with people, especially if you've ever wished "there must be something out there that could support this person" but not known where to start.

We'll also have Bev Dawson from GLL talking about the local Healthwise activity referral programme to support people with health conditions or facing other challenges to be more active.

The Forum is a free event but please do book places in advance for catering purposes. Refreshments and a light lunch are provided.

FAQs

What is the cancellation policy?

Non-attendance without giving notice of cancellation may result in a £25 administration charge.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Details of nearby car parks are on the North Kesteven District Council website: https://www.n-kesteven.gov.uk/visitors-and-leisure/getting-here-and-around/parking/

The nearest short stay car park is the Market Place, or a cheaper option is the long stay car park on Eastgate, near the National Centre for Craft and Design (less than 5 minutes walk).

The venue is approximately 10 minutes walk from Sleaford train station.
