Description

Join us at ThoughtWorks for a talk by Jeremy Hunter, detailing his journey to one of the most secretive countries in the world, North Korea.

Previously at Hay-on-Wye Literary Festival, Royal Geographical Society, UNESCO, Jermyn Street Theatre Piccadilly, Pleasance Theatre Islington, Parkshot Theatre Richmond, Phoenix Theatre Leicester, Stahl Theatre Oundle

Jeremy Hunter is a British-based investigative photo-journalist, shining a light into the darkest corners of the world.

For more than thirty years he worked in television as a producer/writer - in documentaries, news and current affairs - reporting from 70 countries across 5 continents.

In 2011 he visited North Korea specifically to photograph Arirang, a mass socio-realist spectacular. It celebrated the lives of the Eternal Leader, Kim Il-sung and the Dear Leader Kim Jong-il.

Refreshments from 18:30, talk scheduled for 19:00 - 20:00.
