RSC outreach workshop - Spectroscopy in a Suitcase and more!
The event is an opportunity to experience what the RSC offer as free workshops to students in schools across Wales.
With NMR, IR and UV in Bangor and IR in Glyndwr, school workshops are available to take full advantage these free resources. Spectroscopy in a Suitcase gives schools the chance to learn about spectroscopy through hands-on experience whist making scientific investigations fun. This engaging workshop is designed around a murder following the discovery the body in a lab. Using the knowledge gained in the session you become a CSI for the day and establish the cause of death. As well as covering the principles of spectroscopic techniques, the activities use real-life contexts to demonstrate the applications of the techniques.
