North West Business Task Force
Tuesday, 4 March 2014 from 18:30 to 20:30 (GMT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
The North West Business Task Force (NWBTF) is being formed, by a group of local business owners who are still concerned about the risks of Fracking in the Fylde area.
To date, a task force has been created to investigate the economic benefits of Fracking in the local community. This task force is also looking at the benefit of the creation of jobs in the area but no one is looking into the potentially detrimental effects that Fracking may have on local businesses and for the communities in which they trade. As a group of independent business owners we are concerned about this, as we have heard many reports that Fracking still has far too many risks associated with it to make it safe to do in our community.
The purpose of the NWBTF is to influence the 'powers that be' (as they keep changing) to agree to hold off Fracking in the Fylde, until it has been PROVEN beyond reasonable doubt, to be safe and of benefit to local businesses and the communities in which they trade.
If you are a business owner in the Fylde who is concerned about the potential risks and dangers associated with Fracking and want to support our purpose to 'hold off' Fracking until it is proven to be safe and of benefit, please come along to this initial meeting to see how you can either get involved directly with us or help to support the work of the group.
The meeting will run from 1830 - 2030
Refreshments will be provided
We look forward to meeting with you!
