North West Coaching Forum

The North West Coaching Forum is a series of presentations and workshops designed to address a range of issues related to sports coaching. The Forum is planned to support the education of sports coaches and raise the profile of coaching in the North West region.
The headline speaker is Fermanagh GAA Manager Pete McGrath. Pete has experienced a long and successful career in GAA. His major achievements include winning Ulster and All Ireland Senior Championships with Down in 1991 & 1994. He has also managed the Ireland International Rules team in 2004 & 2005 and experienced much success at club and under 21 level.
He is currently manager of the Fermanagh Senior Football team, taking them to the All Ireland Quarter Finals in 2015 and gaining promotion to Division Two of the Allianz Football League, where they finished a in respectable 4th place this year.
Pete will be joined by Graeme Foreman. Graeme previously worked for Sports Coach UK where he published books and resources on fundamental movement skills. He now runs his own company, GF International Solutions, which specialises in coach education, emotional intelligence and performance skills. Graeme currently works as a mental skills coach for Hartlepool FC in League 2.
Coaches and volunteers from all sports are invited to attend an evening of educational sessions focusing on a number of key themes within coaching. Our guest speakers will offer practical and knowledgeable learning for participants and opportunities to network with other coaches.
The forum has been created and supported by the North West Coaching Network which is made up of local authorities, sports partnerships and national governing body representatives from the North West region. The partnership approach for the Network is coordinated by Coaching Ireland and Sport NI.
The event will take place on Monday 21st November at the Killyhevlin Hotel, Enniskillen; lasting from 7pm – 9.30pm. Admission is free however limited spaces are still available.
