Event description
This conference is an opportunity to create a more accessible destination by sharing best practice across the region.

About this event

This special, one day conference is bringing together local and national experts in accessible tourism and the local tourism industry, in partnership with VisitEngland and the North York Moors National Park.

The conference is part of a project to develop accessible tourism itineraries for the North York Moors, bookable for people in Germany and/or the Netherlands and is a follow-up to the project launch conference held in November 2021.

This event will give delegates the opportunity to:

  • Understand more about Accessible Tourism, which is worth £15.3 billion in the U.K. alone.
  • Hear about project progress so far
  • Take part in interactive sessions to understand more about disability
  • Learn from examples of accessible tourism 'best practice' across the North York Moors
  • Discuss next steps
  • Network with other organisations across the region
  • Share their own accessible offering
  • Celebrate success! This will include the presentation of certificates to the new North York Moors Accessibility Champions!
