I've booked a ticket, but can no longer come. What should I do?

Tell us immediately - we cannot refund (within 30 days of the vent) or transfer you to another trip if you miss this trip, but if you think you won't be able to make it, email us. We may be able to find someone to take your place.

Question 2

What should I wear for this trip?

Accepted Answer

Wear suitable clothing - it's autumn, on the North Sea coast, and weather is unpredictable, so bring warm clothes (layers you can remove when walking), waterproof jacket and comfortable shoes with GOOD GRIP, it's slippery in places, and you will get dirty.

What about food & drink?

Bring snacks - there are shops & cafes in each destination, which you'll have time to visit but it's a 2hr+ journey, so bring water, sandwiches, crisps, etc, but avoid hot, smelly food (the coach driver won't like it!)

Question 4

I'm not a student at University of York , can I still come?

Accepted Answer

Yes, certainly. Most participants will be international students from University of York, but we also have students from York St John Uni and language schools come with us. If you want to meet people and explore the UK, come join us.

Question 5

What time should I arrive at the meeting point?

Accepted Answer

The trip start time is the time the coach will depart, so aim to get there at least 10-15 mins before. If you're late, we cannot wait!

Question 6

Where is the pick-up/drop-off?

Accepted Answer

Due to road closures for York marathon on Sunday 20 October, the pick-up for this trip is the bus stop directly in front of Co-op Food at 46-48 Broadway, Fulford, York YO10 4JX (15 min walk from campus).
