Description

Dr Paul Stoker will be discussing 'The meaning of the Holocaust in 21st century Britain'.

Paul has said, "I will try to explore what we can learn from the Holocaust in Britain by looking at how the country has remembered the Holocaust, as well as lessons from the Holocaust relevant to post-Brexit Britain. I will try to address in particular aspects of the national discussion on immigration and ethnic minorities."

Dr Paul Stocker is a teacher and historian of the British far right and a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right. Completing his PhD in 2017 from Teesside University, he is author of English Uprising: Brexit and the Mainstreaming of the Far Right which looks at the the historical context of the Brexit vote, in particular, the rise of anti-immigration politics. He is currently working on a new monograph on the British far right due to be published by Routledge in 2019.
